Health update #2

Hii everybody!! 

I hope every single one of you had an amazing Christmas and is still enjoying everything of the last days.. My Christmas went a bit better than expected, the allergic reaction calmed down and my face came -thank god- a bit back! So I could enjoy Christmas in a better way than lying in bed all day. Today it's really good, even though I'm still a bit weak and tired - but that's ok! My face is almost back to normal and the spots on my head and face are getting better! It was a wise lesson for me and hopefully for you as well, please be carefull with hair dye and stuff like that! Well have some amazing last days in 2013 and I'll see you soon!!

Health update

Hii everybody!!

So as some of you already know from my short message on the Dream honestly Facebook I´m finally home in the Netherlands. But unfortunately I got a heavy allergic reaction from dying my hair the evening I got home on Thursday. After some appointments in the hospital, heavy & a lot of medicines and a creme I´m lying in my bed, sleeping or lying on the couch with my eyes closed. The last two days I couldn´t see anything, well I could by lifting my eyelids but not for too long.. I have burned spots on my head, neck and face, I have wounds and a lot of bumps. It hurts a lot, but most of all it´s itching and that´s so annoying! Thank god I have a medicine that´s helping me coming through the days without pain and the itchiness. I can finally sleep again! But the other medicine that is helping me getting of the allergic reaction is giving me a face that I don't recognize. It's so swollen up that I sometimes can't see or even smile. And to be honest, that's the most difficult thing I'm facing, I'm not myself from the inner and outer. Well besides the effects that I knew was going to have, I'm also noticing the side effects of not eating, sleeping a lot, being tired, sensitivity and some more. 

Of course I'll say that I wish I had never done it, but at the same time it was not my first time dying my hair. So it can always happen to you, if you have a hair dye that works for you, please stick to that one and don't switch! If you want to try something else, please try it on your skin and wait for 24 hours. I want nobody to have what I have now! I have no idea what kind of substance caused this reaction and I'll never know! I do like the color of my hair, but I can't enjoy it.. And sadly for me that's the same for Christmas, I'll spend it in my room sleeping. For now I'll close my eyes again, I'm getting really tired of staring at my screen haha.

So what am I doing from day to day? Besides going to school, eat and sleep, I do have a life actually.. Once in a few weeks I'll give you a small look in my life through some pictures!

This time I skipped the Instagram part 'cause I have a lot of pictures from my amazing time in Denmark to show you all.. As I told before I did a lot of different things the last weeks, we went a day to Aarhus - love that city, my parents came to visit me and we went to a lovely beach house, we celebrated 'sinterklaas' a Dutch celebration, of course decorated our christmas tree, had parties, a birthday, lunches and many more. ''Orange is like red's cooler stepsister, It's more youthful and playful than red'' - Nick Barose, make up artist says. And I kind of agree with him, even though you can read everywhere that people are expecting that the red lipstick will disappear in the spring/summer of 2014 - I don't think that will happen. The red lipstick is thé basic color that you really need to have and will stay for like always! Red is red, it's timeless! In my opinion the orange lipstick is just a phase. But still I do adore the orange lips.. Wauw! At almost every runway shows of spring 2014 we saw orange lips, think of Rag & Bone, DKNY - Donna Karen, Prabal Gurung, Marissa Web and Creatures of the Wind.. And of course we saw it a lot on the red carpet! But even though we're expecting that the orange lips will be thé color for Spring/Summer we already see it on the street.. And gosh I like it so much!! 

Well I'm searching for my perfect orange lipstick, but because you really need to look at your skin tone it's not that easy! I do found one for my best friend, now hoping I'll find mine really soon! If you have the right color of orange it can really make your face shine and glow! If your skin tone is a bit pale or you have pink and reddish in your face - the best orange colors are the ones with a pastel shade or the ones that have more coral or red in them! If your skin tone is warm you can get the bolder shades of orange and the ones that have a bit gold an yellow in them! If you have a really dark kin tone, choose the ones with a brown or deep red shade! Just a some simple tips of the best make up artists! Must see: Lana Del Rey - Tropico

Wauw, wauw, wauw.. This women is amazing and such an inspiration! Finally I can introduce you ''Tropico'' - the short movie created by Lana Del Rey. The last days I was dying, I wanted to show you all this piece of work so bad. For the last few weeks Lana was posting pictures, trailers and moments out of the video, what made me so curious! I felt so lucky when the video was finally released! It's unbelievable how someone can make or even think of making something like this.. You can really see and feel that she put her whole soul in the video! The short video was filmed in late June 2013 and was directed by Anthony Mandler, who also directed previous videos as; ''National Anthem'' and ''Ride''.

''Dear John, forgive us our sins, dear John, forgive us our sins, Dear John, forgive us our sins.. '' It's the beginning of the movie, Lana is dressed up like as Maria - the mother of Jesus. A promising start.. A start where we can see different inspirations of Lana; Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne and Jesus itself. The movie consists of three beautiful songs: ''Body Electric'', ''Gods and Monsters'' and ''Bel Air''. There are four totally different scenes, with of course Lana and Albino model Shaun Ross. The first scene is showing the love story between Adam and Eve in a dreamy Garden of Eden, with of course fig leaves, the snake and the forbidden apple and the music of ''Body Electric''. ''Gods and Monsters'' is playing while showing a dream vision of a L.A. gang world with a stripping Lana Del Rey and Shaun carrying out a raid. The ''Bel Air'' scene is just wonderful, Lana and Shaun are just dancing together in a wide 'golden' field.. In between Lana is telling her own story, telling monologues - something that I really like in all of her songs, it's so peaceful.. And of course every scene has their own ''Lana Del Rey filter'', beautiful.

Well I hope I made you curious enough to watch this short movie of my personal inspiration; Lana Del Rey. Btw: I'm sorry for not posting anything the last weeks! The last weeks before the Christmas vacation are always really hectic. Deadlines for school, organize my trip home, of course doing a lot of things here in Herning, my parents who where visiting me etc. Well actually I can't make any excuses, so I'm sorry!
