So here I am again, almost two months in beautiful Herning and still enjoying every minute of it! Last time I wrote that I was a little bit sad that my time here went so fast, and seriously I still am.. I don't know why it's so easy for me to live here, without family and friends and just your comfort zone.. It was definitely time to go and live at my own, maybe that's the biggest reason why? I do miss them, specially today because it's my mom's birthday today - Happy birthday!! But as how it is now I can stay here for a long, long time! And to be honest I do think that the people here are making it easier for me to stay here and to not think of 'home'.. As the weeks are going by there are real friendships arising - thank you all for that!
With all these amazing people over here we are trying to see and enjoy Denmark as much as we can. So yes we did a lot of thing for the last weeks! As you maybe read in my latest 'My look for today' I went to Rinkobing - a beautiful but small and cozy town in Denmark at the seaside! We heard from the other exchange students that it's such a wonderful place, so when we woke up that day and the weather was great we went there as fast as we could! This town explains the beauty of Denmark.. And because we enjoyed it so much we went there yesterday again! This time the weather was even better. We went there to go to play some Adventure Golf, gosh I laughed so much.. It was so funny, our childhood memories definitely came back! And of course we wanted to go to the beach again, as you maybe read before I love the beach so much.. It was an amazing day!! Besides the road trips with the car we also did a small road trip on the bike, yes Denmark is also beautiful to see on the bike.. We had such a boring day that we decided to do something that we didn't do before - yes biking for no reason! We went to a few small cities next to Herning and saw some beautiful churches, flower fields, buildings and nature. It was such a good idea haha!
Actually that were the road trips for the last few weeks. Further I went to the grand opening of Magpie Lane - a beautiful vintage store in the city of Herning. You can read my review over here!! We went to our first Danish lesson, it's such a weird language. If you know what they are saying it's easy, it's like a combination of the English, Dutch and German language but the pronunciation is just crap.. We'll see if I can speak some Danish after a few months - help.. Besides learning everything about Denmark, we can also learn something about other countries. Yesterday was the first cultural evening at school, it was about Lithuanian! And that was pretty interesting, 'cause I don't know anything about this country. They told us a lot about different aspects like music, science, school, history and of course there was a lot of food to taste.. Jummmm!
We also had some parties, we went to a neon party in a small club in Herning and we've had a big school party! We had the time of our lives, like always.. The people here are just so nice that every moment is like a small party.. My biggest highlight of the last weeks was my photoshoot. I was asked by another exchange student that's studying fashion design at TEKO to be her model for her amazing project! And actually I'm not going to say anything about it - just keep an eye on my blog for the pictures!
So this was a short summary about my life for the last month in Herning, I hope I made you curious about all the pictures that I made in Rinkobing, at my biking trip, at the parties and there is a preview of the photoshoot as well. In a few days I'll post another 'picture my life' with these amazing shots..
Stay tuned for a new Dreamhonestly goes Denmark in a few weeks! And ohh keep on eye on my blog for a new 'My look for today; Special' that I'll post in a few days!! See you, Kiss
